In the event that one of your members is admitted to a hospital in a local Province or a surrounding African State that may not meet the treatment needs or standards, we have a 24 hour Aeromedical Evacuation team available to assist. Together we move patients from anywhere on the African Continent to facilities of International standards to ensure that the best treatment possible is provided. Our team of knowledgeable, evacuation and repatriation staff; work hand in hand with the aeromedical team, to ensure expeditious extraction of the injured, ill party together ensuring that all the necessary paperwork and documentation is ready and that clearances are arranged for the evacuation of your member, keeping you updated on every step of the mission.

AIMS is able to assist with medication ordering, dispensing and couriering to anywhere on the African Continent in a timeous manner. All medications are ordered and dispensed from licensed pharmacies and dispatched once the drug accountability documentation has been concluded which ensures the integrity of the prescriptive items, couriered from our Johannesburg offices by accredited internationally recognised carriers.

With our vast network of providers across the African Continent, we are in an ideal position to do cost containment on hospital admissions, procedures and consultations due to our great relationship with all of our service providers. We are always on hand to confirm that any costs received by your organisation are reasonable and customary, and in the case they may not be, we can investigate the reasons behind this and give insider knowledge on the processes involved.

Our Administration / Claims department has a team of dedicated staff closing patient files expeditiously in a consolidated format all costs incurred by the patient, insured member for the period of medical intervention. Throughout this process attention to detail is used to ensure reasonable customary charges have been used.

In the event that one of your members requires admission to hospital, we are always mindful that there may be a need for assistance to be extended to family members or travel companions. We have contracted agreements with major hotel chains across the African Continent to ensure that we can provide accommodation suitable to the needs of the travel companion and the specific circumstance.

For everyday transportation, we offer services in all the major hubs on the African Continent. We can ensure that your member is transported safely and timeously to wherever they may need to get to, whether this is to catch a plane to their next destination, or for a doctor’s appointment. Where we are unable to assist, we will do our utmost to find local providers that can provide safe transportation at reasonable costs.

Being aware of the diverse multilingual nature of travellers in today’s world together with the many different languages, dialects used across Africa we endeavour to be able to assist with translation services wherever they are needed, in order to do this we have English, French, Portuguese and German speaking staff members available to assist with the keys languages used in Africa.
